About the Event

Juliano’s classes offer an in-depth approach to Dr. Feldenkrais’s philosophy of movement and learning system that applies to everyday living.

Movement is directly related to neural connections and patterns in the brain, directly affecting our thoughts, emotions and self-image.  We can learn about ourselves and change our behavior through thought; and, we can also learn about ourselves and change our thought, through movement.

This learning system benefits every one of all ages – whether you have special challenges, seek continued wellbeing, want to maintain peak performance, or are interested in making the most of yourself in thought and action.

In this classes we’ll base learning in exploration, encompassing all levels of the work, from practice on oneself, practice with others, philosophy and foundational background.

The underpinnings of Feldenkrais’s studies have been further substantiated through recent advances in neuroscience that have established the power of the brain’s plasticity (it’s ability to adapt and remodel). The body manifests thought into action and feeds information back to the brain. Efficient use of this loop is the key to optimizing wellbeing and human potential.

The power of these classes is that they teach a completely new approach to systemic enhancement of brain and body abilities. The idea is to enable each one to find ongoing ways to keep learning and improving.
